Apprenticeships are available for anyone aged between 16 – 64 years old. These can be studied at Level 2 or Level 3 with additional key skills and a technical certificate as qualifications.
There are a number of government funding opportunities available to employers and learners.
We will help you to choose the funding that is appropriate for you. We will also secure the funding to reduce employer administration time and allow the learner to concentrate on learning.
When enrolled on an Apprenticeship or an Advanced Apprenticeship programme, you will be working towards the achievement of an NVQ, Key or Functional Skills and other training requirements defined for that particular occupation. This is known as an Apprenticeship Framework.
There are two levels of Apprenticeship: Apprenticeship (A) and Advanced Apprenticeship (AA). You will work towards an NVQ as part of your training for an A or AA:
Apprenticeships are completed at your own pace, but usually last around 10-12 months for a Level 1 and 18-24 months for a Level 2. Time scale is dependant upon your workplace and how fast you are able to progress.
As well as your NVQ you will work within a framework, which includes the Key (Functional) Skills – Communication (English), Numeracy (Maths), and Information Technology. These Skills will help you to become a more flexible employee.
Level 2 apprenticeships generally take around 10-12 months. Level 3 apprenticeships take around 18-24 months. However, apprenticeships are tailored to the needs of the individual so they can take more or less time as required.
