Funding is available through the European Social Fund according to eligibility criteria:
- Learner is aged 19+, living and working in the Marches (Herefordshire & Shropshire)
- The business employs no more than 250 employees (or 49 for Level 4)
- The learner is not on any other government programme such as college or university
Duration: 2 days
Whether you have been promoted or have been in a role as a team leader for some time, this course covers key principles and skills that will make you appreciate your role. This course focuses on:
- Principles of Team Leading
What will you learn?
In this unit you will learn about how effective team leaders behave and how this behaviour helps to use the energy of team members and benefit the organisation. Next you will go on to explore the dynamics of teams, including key theories about the different roles we play in a team and how teams evolve over a period of time. You will then go onto consider how to manage the work of teams and solve problems. Finally, you will explore more about what motivates your team members to do their very best and the action the actions you can take as a team leader to make this happen.
What is involved?
Courses are delivered as workshops to gain new knowledge. Successful Certification comes from completing an external test or work based assignment focused on your business.
Courses are delivered at our Offices in Hereford or, if appropriate, can be delivered in your workplace according to numbers.
